A Holy Ghost Revival

A Holy Ghost Revival was founded in March of 2010, in Oroville, CA. The band features front-man John Bowers on vocals, Kyle Fryar on lead guitar, Alex Hansen on rhythm guitar, Chadwick McCready on bass, Trevor Richardson on drums, and Cory Russel on keyboard/orchestration. Proving that they are a musical force to be reckoned with, A Holy Ghost Revival won 1st place in the Orland Battle of the Bands, 2010. Since then the band has gone on 3 DIY tours across the west coast. One with the band, Conducting from the Grave (sumerian records). The band has shared the stage with prolific bands such as White Chapel, Suicide Silence, Carnifex, Winds of Plague, Oceano, Static X, and Molotov Solution plus many more. Incorporating a blend of various Metal genres, A Holy Ghost Revival has taken a fresh and spirited approach to the Metal world. Their sound transcends an assortment of genres, such as Metalcore, Hardcore, Epic, Melodic, Dark, Heavy, and Emotional. The versatility of the band’s sound enables them to reach out to a wide array of fans, with their new, exciting, and uplifting take on Metal. In an article by Michael Bone from The Synthesis Magazine, Bone compares the bands musical journey to an epic Metal-meets-Lord of the Rings type of adventure. Bone states “Each song drives forth like evil forces marching towards Helm’s Deep.” With their lyrics and sound based on enlightenment and a positive message, AHGR has changed the Metal world for good and will be melting your brains and ears for years to come
