Hi and thanks for stopping by!
I created this page to get these demo songs out there with the eventual goal of forming a band and taking this out. This first batch of songs is a mixture of older and newer songs I've either written, co-written or performed on with the writer(s).
I've been playing music for 35+ years. Mostly and mainly guitar but I also play bass and have dabbled with mandolin. Music has been an integral part of my life for as long as I can remember. Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, & The Beatles were some of my earliest musical likes. I have always been a rocker and I say unashamedly I always will be.
About the songs:
1st off - these are DEMOS and are not at all professional sounding. I am not a singer. But these are good representations of what I'm trying to accomplish.
"Turn Around" - This song was written when I was in Wetfeat and features the late Chris Gamble on lead vocals. We recorded this 15years ago at Marler Music in Farmington. I played guitars and bass, background vocals. I had Owen McKinley of St. Louis add the drum tracks recently and Mike Swederska mixed it together.
"My Old Self" - Another Wetfeat song and recorded at the same time "Turn Around" was done. I played guitar, bass and did background vocals. Chris Gamble and Joe (whose last name escapes me) wrote this song prior to my joining Wetfeat. Chris sang lead vocals on this one also. I added guitar solos at home on my Tascam and Owen McKinley plays drums. Mike Swederska mixed the base recording and the drums.
"Long Lost Cashmire Sweater" - This song was a Lash39 demo that Jeff Carapella wrote the music for 10years ago. After years of messing with this as an instrumental I recently had some incentive to add lyrics to this. I did the vocals and added some lead guitar with my Tascam at home. I hope you like. ;)
"Anger Management" - This is another Lash39 demo that Jeff Carapella wrote the music for and was tracked at the same time as "Long Lost Cashmire Sweater". I recently added vocals and some lead guitar. Another song inspired lyrically by recent events in my musical life. Smile, laugh and have fun. Every day. You can do it!
"Chemtrail Skies" - I am not a fan of "canned" drums but that's what is used here. I wrote this song about chemtrails - duh! Look up, they're there. I played all the instruments and programmed the drums. Sang. All done on my Tascam at home.
"Signs & Wonders" - This one isn't finished and has a couple "holes" in it but I included it because the message of the song is what I'm trying to convey. Another one that I used canned drums on, played all the instruments and all the vocals.
"The Juice is on the Loose" - You guessed it. I wrote this back in the 1st version of Sojourner. Which was right around the time of the OJ trial. Recently recorded the rhythm and bass tracks at Mike Swederska's and then sent that off to Owen McKinley to work his double-kick madness. Finished it up by adding vocals and leads at home on the trusty Tascam.
I hope to get all of my music professionally recorded sooner than later. I have dozens of songs and riffs coming out the whazzoo. I hope to meet some people who can help and get on board the g-train.
Thanks for dropping by and God bless!

9/23/15 - Added some songs
"Whatcha Gonna Do?" - Canned drums and me playing guitar, bass and vocals. This song is basically 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 ... The Gospel ... It's a good thing to know. My idea of church music. :)
"Stand" - Same as "Whatcha Gonna Do?" All of these demos were just one time through kinda adventures ... all the mistakes and everything!
"Perspective" - All of these recents adds were done at the same time.
"Word Time" - Another idea of what I think church music should be like.
9/25/15 - Added a song
"See Me" - This song was another Wetfeat demo that was recorded at the same time as "My Old Self" and "Turn Around". This is probably the most "professional" of all these recordings as far as quality goes. Not at all happy with the drum sound - electric drums, eh. This song features Chris Gamble on vocals and drums. I did guitars, bass and back ground vocals.
2/5/16 - Had to scroll allllll the way down here for this update ... uploaded a new demo of an old Sojourner song ... Who Shut the Door ... I used a different drummer on this one and I will be using Mr. Jeff Thal more for sure ... amazing is about all I can say ... anyway ... His drums are impressive and the rest is all me using my trusty Tascam dp004 ... if this was all studio quality I'm pretty sure there would be much smoldering ... ya huh ... so until I get more to Mr. Thal hear this and let me know whatcha think ... rock much!
3/13/16 - Greetings once again! Uploaded some fresh demos of a couple old Sojourner songs!
"Dressed for Success" - Jeff Thal plays drums and I do everything else.
"Time" - The very 1st song I ever wrote - finally a decent demo ... Jeff Thal plays drums. The rest is me and the Tascam.
Hope you enjoy, thanks for listening! Until next time, rock on!
