LIL’ SCOOBY

Shaquille Dra Toney, a 15 year old dreamer, from Long Beach Ca. has become the little engine who thinks he can. At the tender age of 8 little Shaquille decided that he was going to become an artist. He as most of kids born in the BET generation was consumed by hip-hop. Initially his mother Jazzy thought this was a phase. “I always pushed him to keep up his studies, because I am determined not to loose my son to what goes on in the streets, or even the wrong stuff in rap music” says Jazzy but that didn’t deter Scooby. He simply focused on doing it all... school and music.

Born February 22, 1993, to a single mother, Scooby was the 5th in a family of 5 children. Scooby's friend dubbed him Lil Scooby when he was only 11 and the nickname stuck. When Scooby entered middle school he realized that he was one of many kids who had the same dream. His Mom continued with him and did everything she could to kindle the flames of Scooby’s dream to become a rapper.

Good fortune finally shined on Scooby and he was seen by the owner of a small independent label called Keep It Pushin' (K.I.P.) Records. Scooby was immediately signed. Soon after, K.I.P. Records showcased Scooby’s talent to Winter Starr Ent. and the two joined forces to make Lil’ Scooby the flagship artist of their company.

“My dream of becoming an artist is coming true, KIP and Winter Starr is making it happen” says Scooby. The debut album entitled “Da Main Attraction” has become his reality. The video for the single “Anything You Need” premieres on line in October. The Digital album release will be this fall. It’s his time now and he is coming soon…. Lil’ Scooby … Da Main Attraction!
