Oboyob mainly circles around the genre - Psychedelic Rock. It presents Classic Rock with illusive, dreamy and colorful ambiance creating sound which leads the crowd towards a psychedelic world of feel and emotion. Band’s thirst for melody and pure music bounds every performance to have their best. And numbers from the past legends like The Beatles, The Doors, Eric Clapton, Dire Straits, Pink Floyd drives the listeners to have their best choices at live. In mid 2010 it was restructured and renamed to Oboyob/অবয়ব (Meaning: Indistinct Form or Figure) with the then members - Imran, Sadid, Kashfee, Marzuq, Russel, Tanna and Sazib. Influences : The influences of the band mainly travel back to the old 60’s - 80’s rock, psychedelic rock and blues to the bands / artists such as Pink Floyd, The Beatles, The Doors, Dire Straits, Deep Purple, Rainbow, Led Zeppelin, Scorpions, Eagles, U2, Sting, The Verve, Tool, B.B. King, Jethro Tull, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, John Lennon, Eric Clapton, Chris Rea, Ritchie Blackmore, Bryan Adams, Rabindranath Tagore, Kazi Nazrul Islam, Bhupen Hazarika, Lalon and the list goes on.
