Born in 1993 in NDOLA city,Oscar Sakala (Phicshawn), self proclaimed heir to the Zambian Dance Hall throne started out as an underground street battle rapper .During he's high school years at KANSENSHI SECONDARY SCHOOL he met artistc influences such as Shamet (Malambo Mutila), xsiQ (Michael Phiri), Champagne (Whiteson Chimimba) and T Low (Amos Chipasha) . Phicshawn did not take music seriously until mid-year 2011 after he had completed his high school in 2010,in August 2011 he got featured on a RAP BATTLE tournament that was hosted by MUVI TV NDOLA dubbed ALPHA DOGS NDL where he went on to win 5 battles in row, that saw him through to claim the first prize, a recording session with CREAM DOLLAR (Kelvin Shawa),It was this session that brought forth the under ground hit single "PLENTY" which also featured Song Writer,Producer,Singer -CREAM DOLLAR . 2013 saw Phicshawn and Cream dollar getting back in the studio together and this time around not only did the duo create another underground hit but they made their alliance official when phicshawn got signed under Cream dollar's record label ,GWAP MUSIC,It was Cream Dollar's influence that led phicshawn out of the "Hardcore Rap Style) and into the more commercialised "Dance Hall style " he is now know for, after he's first single under GWAP MUSIC titled "CONTRADICTING" (a mid tempo dancehall track ,which is undoubtedly one of his best pieces ) ,it was this song that saw phicshawn perform in the LEVY MWANAWASA STADIUM in NDOLA on 31st December 2013 as an opening act for pioneering Names in the Zambian Entertainment Industry such as MACKY 2,CHEF, JUDY and B'NEL . Phicshawn's race to stardom continues in 2014 as he releases he's second official single under GWAP MUSIC titled "BadMan Teaser" Produced by GWAP MUSIC founder and C.E.O. CREAM DOLLAR ,which got reviews on top music hosting sites like SOCIAL LUMIERE, ZAMBIA MUSIC BLOG and AFRO CHOONEZ. He is currently working on an album though the title has yet to be unveiled. As is the case with most talented upcoming artist's in the Zambian entertainment industry,Phicshawn's failure to make a noticeable impact in the music sector could be attributed to lack of proper management taking into consideration that he's record label only covers he's studio time.
