We’re just a couple of Hippies! Atomic Tracktor is Dee Long and Gary Swaenepoel. Dee Long was a member of the infamous Klaatu from Toronto, also known quite incorrectly as the Beatles. Dee and Gary were the core of the band “The Wild Onions” starring Tracey Lowrey on lead vocals. Now with Atomic Tracktor playing guitar and keyboards, Dee has found a new life recreating Pop and Rock songs from the 50s to 90s. With Gary as his partner in music Atomic Tracktor has begun to build a legacy of Rock and/or Roll up another one. Gary Swaenepoel has been in many bands with such notables as Pink Steel, Bachus, Beans and the Weens, Gary and the Tighties, Redman and the Whiteys, The Bandits, Lillooet Allstars, Kismet, Meanz 2 an End and of course, The Wild Onions. We are looking to play more shows in BC Canada where we live, and at the time of writing we have 4 hours of songs we play live, from Doobie Brothers, Beatles, Billy Idol, Jim Hendrix through to several Klaatu songs, many tunes from Dee’s solo albums as well as our first original song “Dope Suckin’ Hippies”. We have our own sound system, lights and can promise a good time will be had by all. If you want to party to Rock and Pop Classics we are the band to call!
