STIR burst onto the Christian rock music scene in 1998 with their critically acclaimed debut CD "Broken Tongues". The CD was mixed by renowned producer/enigneer Michael Wagener(Skid Row, Ozzy, Metallica) and it spawned 4 Top 10 singles. The band was voted the 2nd favorite hard rock band(POD was 1st) of 1999 by radio programmers. The band went on to perform at several high profile music festivals in 1999 including Itchycoo Park(Manchester, TN), Flevo Totaal Festival(Eindhoven, Netherlands) and Owener Rocknacht(Germany) sharing the stage with acts like Moby, Sammy Hagar, Skillet, and The Supertones. Founding members Bob Gross and Kyle Dietz are currently writing new material for their long awaited follow-up to "Broken Tongues".
