Sphere
Metal • Warsaw, PL
Sphere, established in 2002, was standing for death metal as it always meant to be. Rooted in brutal, straightforward and yet genuine old school death metal, the band has been on the stage for more than ten years. After few line-up changes since the first rehearsal, Sphere recorded the “Spiritual Dope” demo, presented to the world in June 2004. This release made the band visible in the Polish underground and it resulted in recording the “Damned Souls Rituals” LP, put on market in 2007 through Empire Records. 5000 CDs were spread through Poland, a numerous skull crushing gigs were played. Three years passed afterwards and Sphere entered the Zed Studio to record another revolting album, entitled “Homo Hereticus”. This time it was released through a small Masterful Rec. and hit the audience in 2012. The music stemmed from death metal origin yet was enriched with fresh groovy ideas; a powerful tool blasting minds and souls. It made a perfect base upon the redemption march. New gigs were played, Sphere was supporting metal acts such as Cannibal Corpse, Cryptopsy, Vital Remains, Obituary, Disgorge and put a significant mark on the metal scene. 2013 and 2014 brought another line-up changes. Having dealt with these, in July 2014 the band entered the Sound Division studio, to record their 3rd full CD, entitled “Mindless Mass”. It was recorded at Sound Division studio in Warsaw, by Vesania’s bass player Filip ‘Heinrich’ Hałucha, who also did the mix and mastering. Guest appearance has been done by Jacek Hero, very well-known from bands such as Dies Irae, Voodoo Gods, Decapitated, Vader, Sceptic, who played a solo in a ‘Leach’ track. The new LP is promoted by a videoclip to the Society Foetus song. Prepare for a brutal death metal overdose!
