RISE OF AVERNUS are a progressive doom metal five piece from Sydney, Australia. Exploring dark and poignant themes with impassioned classical piano arrangements and a unique down tempo theatricality. The band has moved swiftly since their inception 2 years ago. In August 2012 Rise of Avernus made their presence known by playing one of their first live shows supporting Finnish giants APOCALYPTICA. Rise of Avernus then toured with Mnemic & Hypno5e during 2013, the band releasing their first full length album on October 31st to coincede with their Australian tour with ENSLAVED. In 2014 the band will also be performing with Rotting Christ, Septic Flesh and Fleshgod Apocalypse with plans to release a second album by years end.
