Luray is banjo-inspired indie rock fused with classic country and folk, created by Shannon Carey. With production help from brother Sean Carey (of S. Carey and Bon Iver), Luray's soon-to-debut album creates strange and lovely bedfellows of different genres. Banjos, vibes, pedal steel, and ambient vocals make up this bluegrass-trained songwriter's new and vibrant approach to making music, and the end result is somewhere between Iron & Wine and Emmylou Harris.
Live, Shannon Carey is joined by multi-instrumentalist Sarah Gilberg on guitar, keyboard, and backing vocals and Wilfredo Morales on upright bass.
