Rokk-I (pronounced Rocky) La' VON has been involved in the music business ever since 1991. He was a song writer for several rap acts and singers in the Washington DC. area when he was in high school. He also wrote R&B and Rap songs for himself as he wanted to persue a music career. As the years passed Rokk-I got the urge to get back in the music industry. He started his own record label "La' VON RECORDZ" in 2007. He signed a few artists and they were making great music. But, Rokk-I was not fulfilled. He has always been a songwriter and a poet, plus by 2009 Rokk-I was producing his own beats. One night in September of 2009 he put one of his poems "BlackGround" with one of his beats and here we are today! Rokk-I La' VON was a high school musician. He played the French Horn in the competition and the marching bands. He also played and studied the piano. Rokk-I wanted to create his own style of music so he could stand out from the crowd. He did just that and created "The La' VON Sound". Currently Mr. La' VON is working on his current Spoken Word project titled "Close Your Eyez.....And CUM".
