Triple X demands all attention and respect no matter what room she enters. Shawntel Nix Gaddy is a Charlotte, North Carolina Independent Hip-Hop artist, Community Event Organizer and a Domestic Violence Survivor. She hit the entertainment scene in the early 2000’s.
Before Triple X was an MC, she worked as the hostess for every major nightclub and promoter in Charlotte and surrounding cities. She is known for her networking, style, and talent. She got her start through a well-known local DJ and radio personality on the 50 MC’s of North Carolina & South Carolina in early 2006. Later that year she released her first mix tape, “ To Whom It May Concern” which got her nominated for 2 Southern Entertainment Awards (S.E.A.) “Female Emcee of the Year” and “Most Slept on Artist of the Year”. She then released the single "Blah, Blah, Blah" in 2008; it received support and airplay from WPEG’s Power 98.
Triple X current projects include a power packed single with heartfelt lyrics entitled, Show Me A Sign, and is dedicated to survivors of Domestic Violence and the other single entitled, "Options" a feature from the movie soundtrack entitled, Stock Option starring, Tasha Smith.
As a single mother, and domestic violence survivor it is her goal, to bring awareness to the growing issues of abuse, and mental illness amongst young children, men, women, and families in all communities. She has hosted and performed at several events targeting celebrities, families, people of every race and religion, from ages 12 and up promoting her anti-violence, family, and music campaign. Triple X has emerged as a leading voice in her community and to a lost and hurting generation.
In addition to having her own marketing and promotions company, she is also currently working on her new internet radio and television station, as well as her 5th mix tape, “Certified”. Her lyrics and vocals exude, confidence, strength, and talent.
