Adam Rich

Adam Rich is Cleveland, Ohio born and bred.
He started out playing piano as a child, and moved up to cello in elementary school as well as clarinet. High school and the teenage years introduced him to guitar and drums, while bass did not present itself until college.
Adam released his first cassette "Virgin Freak" in 1994, followed by "Flavor Savor" in 1997. The debut CD "Foundation" was released in 2002, followed by "You Can't Escape Life" in 2006 and "Streetlight Smile" in 2014. His latest album, "Sunshine + Puppies", was just released in 2017. All these releases feature several guest musicians and vocalists, but the songs are written by Adam.
His upcoming album, Peaceful & With Purpose, is currently being mixed and will be released in 2020.
Both "Virgin Freak" and "Flavor Savor" were re-issued on CD in 2014 and 2017, respectively, to mark 20 years since their initial cassette release. Each CD contains a bonus track from Adam's 1992 4 song EP, as well as unused photos and new liner notes..
Adam has also been playing in bands since he was in high school. The short lived "Adamthrax" played the senior talent show and a school dance. In college, Adam was in the band State Of Green. Upon graduating, he would go on to play in Tadpol, Girth, Oliver Buck & The New Madrids, The Flavor. and the Smeltztones. In 2021 he formed his own band, Flowers Love Being Kurt, to play his songs out live. He is also the bassist for the Spirit Of 74.. His influences include punk, metal, pop, blues, rock and certain 80's hair bands.
