There is no doubt that Ally Howatt grew up country. She loves the music and honours it with every show she plays. Her passion to share country music with every audience is evident as she sings from the heart and draws a crowd on the dance floor. "I want the fans to enoy the music as much as I love playing it." The crowd finds her inspiring, just as she finds inspiration in the songs that she plays. That inspiration took root at a young age. Ally remembers country music always playing in the house. "My mom would play Trisha Yearwood and Reba McEntire as she cooked dinner and I was always singing along." Ally saw her dreams of being a country musician start to come true after an inspiring trip to Nashville. She decided to pick up a guitar and begin writing her own songs. She took a chance, quit university, and began to focus on music full-time. The payoff- her first album of all original music called "Ride of Your Life." And a ride it was. On a whim, Ally submitted some of her music to a radio contest and after a crash course in performing live with a band, she beat out top artists to take a spot performing at Woodbine Park in Toronto with Johnny Reid and Crystal Shawanda to thousands of country music fans. Her career gained momentum as her first single was released to country radio called "Matter of Time." Since then, Ally has shared the stage with top artists like Sara Evans, Deric Ruttan, Gord Bamford, Chase Rice and has revved up crowds for the likes of Trisha Yearwood, Trace Adkins, Travis Tritt, and Tim McGraw. She shows no signs of slowing down. Her strength and determination, combined with a dynamic, powerful vocal talent, will continue to connect with audiences and have them coming back for more.
