Formed in the fall of 2011, A.P.D stole it's name from the biggest gang in town and mutated onto the Albuquerque hardcore punk scene to make some noise and stir shit up! A.P.D. played their first show on Dec. 29th, 2011 originally as a 5 piece with Big Gary Parker and Alice Binks on Vocals, Julian on guitar, Howee Dee on bass and Timo on drums. Big Gary departed 2 months later due to health problems and guitarist Julian stepped in to take over male vocal duties as well as guitar and A.P.D became a four piece from that point on. The band continued to play shows throughout the spring and early summer of 2012 including making an appearance in the indie film by Charles Vick Duncan, "Skum Quixote". Timo played his final show with the band on June 25th, 2012 and Howee Dee migrated from bass to drums and the band recruited Billy Crooze to play bass, referring to this period as "APD:Chapter 2". With Billy on board, A.P.D. resumed playing shows again in August of 2012 and continued to do so in to 2013. A.P.D. was always a volatile band from the very beginning and somewhat of an anomaly and when serious issues exist that aren't dealt with get ignored, sooner or later they catch up with you so-to-speak and A.P.D. more or less imploded on itself in late winter of 2013 and broke up due to "irreconcilable differences" and was presumed dead... On November 1st, 2013, Julian, Billy and Howee got together for the first time in almost 8 months along with a new face, voice and member, Jamye and played some of the songs from their set and officially declared that A.P.D is back!
