Billy Hell
Blues • Nashville, TN
Billy began his musical schooling at the tender age of 5 by his 70 year old Grandpa. His love for guitars and good songs took him down the road of bluegrass, 50's rock and the blues until he was propelled into Sabbath, and shot through the classics of Beatles, Hendrix, SRV. He finally hit the wall of Steve Earle with a thud. Dazed by his new discovery he wandered aimlessly through the halls of Texas and alt.country artists and felt most at home with Texas song writers like Guy Clark, Townes Van Zandt and their ilk. When the guitars come out things usually turn to Howlin' Wolf, BB King or ZZ Top. He is also fond of merging bluegrass with surf music. All of his music eventually leans back on the blues...just like all the music we listen to today. Billy can be found wandering around the corridors of the web or hanging with Nashville notables when not hurling through space in his 30mph golf cart traveling around this interesting country.
