Country • Ridgeland, MS
A singer/songwriter from Texas, was born in Austin, but resides in Winchester, Texas. It’s a small town right outside of LaGrange, Texas…yes, like the song by ZZ-Top. I’ve loved music since I was a little girl, and have been singing since I could talk. I would always steal my parent’s classic country and classic rock CD’s and go sit in my room and listen to them and sing along. It was around the age of 10 or 11 that I really started getting into singing. Every time there was a band playing I would ask to get up and sing with them. I always sang Folsom Prison Blues by the great Johnny Cash. I don’t know how many toy guitars my parents bought me, and all I’d do is piddle around on them. One day I told myself that I was going to learn how to actually play the guitar. In September of 2008 I taught myself some guitar chords and started taking lessons from a close friend, Amanda Hart. My first gig was in February of 2009 in my hometown’s bar, The Winchester Store, with Amanda. She mentored me for about a year then we kind of broke apart and did our own things, so now I do solo acoustic gigs around Texas. In July of 2009, my parents took me to Fort Dodge, Iowa for my first recording session. Since then I have been training to strengthen my voice and conquer the guitar. I have a new single we are working in the studio and will be released in the near future. FOLSOM PRISON BLUES AND OTHERS ARE NOW AVAILABLE ON I TUNES
