Desperate Blues Girls is the only female blues band in Italy. Born in 2008, in a few years they've developed their sound playing in clubs and Festivals, in Italy and other countries. They play a genuine mix of classic blues, rock blues and modern blues, with a little bit of funk and soul: their music is inspired by such great blues artists, like Muddy Waters, B.B. King, Buddy Guy, Etta James, Stevie Ray Vuaghan, Gary Moore. On the other hand, rock and funk from Koko Taylor, Robben Ford, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Joss Stone, John Mayer. The interpretative skills of the 5 band members, fused with this music background always guarantees a fun and fascinating live concert. Le Desperate Blues Girls sono una formazione assolutamente unica nel suo genere in Italia, composta soltanto da artiste donne. Nate nel 2008, partendo da questa caratteristica semplicemente formale, in pochi anni sono cresciute come repertorio e sound facendosi apprezzare prima nei principali locali e club della Capitale, e poi successivamente per le piazze, i palchi ed i Festival del Centro Italia. Il repertorio è composto di classici blues, rock blues e modern blues, conditi di funk: una delle fonti di ispirazioni del gruppo sono i grandissimi artisti blues, come Buddy Guy, Muddy Waters, B.B. King, Etta James, Albert King, Allman Brothers, John Lee Hooker e Koko Taylor. Dall’altra le contaminazioni rock e funky di Stevie Ray Vaughan, Gary Moore, Robben Ford, Junior Wells, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin e Joss Stone. La fusione di questo background con la capacità interpretativa delle cinque componenti della band consente di avere sempre un live divertente e coinvolgente.
