Doug Casteen
Rock • Raleigh, NC
New in 2023 is the development of a new Podcast called Sibling Revelry about my family's rich history in North Carolina. This project is supported by the United Arts Council of Raleigh and Wake County, Raleigh Arts, and the North Carolina Arts Council, a division of the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources.
Hailing from the Washington, DC area, Doug found inspiration at an early age in the Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, and a heavy dose of blues. His curiosity and tastes quickly matured to encompass diverse styles from country, folk, rock, jazz, world, progressive, and all points in between. Being a contributing member of The Jason Adamo Band has brought Doug to Los Angeles, Nashville, Austin, and New York City.
As a musician whose sonic philosophy naturally transcends limitation, Doug’s repertoire explores the guitar, banjo, mandolin, and slide guitar. Having written songs for the last 5 Jason Adamo Band releases Doug finds his lifelong effort to craft meaningful music distinctly emerging.
Doug performs as a solo artist in the Raleigh/Durham area and locally/nationally with The Jason Adamo Band. He also has performed with Country Singer/Songwriter Mary Selvidge, Hip/Hop Rapper Tesh, Party Rock Band Love Tribe, Delta Rae Vocalist Elizabeth Hopkins, Adam Lee Decker, Eva Cassidy and more.
As a member of the Jason Adamo Band has been a recipient of the 2021 and 2022 Cary Magazine Maggy Award for “Best Local Music Group or Artist”. Doug’s original songs have been featured on NC radio stations 94.7 QDR, That Station 95.7 and G105 Bob and the Showgram.
Doug is endorsed by Fuchs Audio Technology, PedalSnake and HoboAxe.
