The band was started in the beginning of 2012 by the name Out Of Focus. The founding members of out of focus were Aditya Acharaya & Anubhav Gupta. Aditya, a grade 5 drummer from Trinity College of music London always wanted to form a band in his college. He met up with Anubhav Gupta a Keyboard player from the same college. They formed the band after exhausting days of going through each and every aspirant to select the perfect band. Finally the shortlisted 4 were Prateem mukherjee (Lead Vocals), Aman Raj (Rhythm Guitar), Naoba Thounaojam (Bass Guitar), Shashank Mehra (Vocals/Percussions), Eliso Keishing (Lead Guitar). The band gave its first stage performance in PGDAV College where they were the only Hindi Band amongst the other metal bands. The first success came for the band when they stood 3rd in SGTB Khalsa College’s Battle of The Bands. As time passed the band changed its genre from folk rock to fusion and the line-up was changed. The Band was renamed Dravaka and the new line-up was Aditya Acharaya (Drums) Aditya Dutt (Rhythm Guitars) Purnet Moirangthem (Lead Guitars) Naoba thounaojam (Bass Guitars) Anubhav Gupta (Keyboards) Shashank Mehra (Lead Vocals / Percussions / Harmonica) and Gaurav Ghoshal (Flute). They have come a long way since their first gig and have 3 originals up their sleeves.
