D.Son’s work ethic and grind landed him a spot opening up for Styles P of The LOX in November of 2011 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, as well as some of the most prestigious Hip Hop venues in up North Chicago. D.Son has also performed as a headliner in Chicago’s annual African Festival and shows that have been hosted by Chicago radio personality Bionce Foxx. Aside from music, D.Son is also an active member in the community as he heads a Pre-Teen Club in the Chicago Park Districts and also founding an all Youth Boys not-for-profit “Son Shall Rise”, for the empowerment and present and future success for youth boys.
