Deeply rooted into the Celtic folklore, Fenrir is an alliance forged between metal and folk music. Heavy guitars, powerful riffs and blasting drums, added to the sound of the violin, give Fenrir his tone and originality. Elsa's voice, aerial and enchanting, recounts the epic deeds of the gods and heroes of old, as the ancient bards used to do. Every live performance is a journey to those times, for Fenrir's members play wearing kilts, war paints and medieval outfits. Irish jigs, soft ballads and epic metal riffs are mixed altogether to create an intense set with a unique tone and an explosive energy. Echoes of the Wolf is the first album of the band, recorded in 2011 at the MonStudio (Lorraine, France) by Yann Klimezyk (MyPollux). Independent label Savage Prod (Kells, Benighted Soul), associated with Season of Mist, decided to work with Fenrir for this album, out in April 2012, an hour long of powerful and inspired music that will drive you from enchanted lands to stormy battlefields! Since then, Fenrir has been on tour with Tristania in Europe, and in many other shows, like the H'elles on Stage festival in France. In 2015, Fenrir has shared stage with Suidakra, and with Van Canto at Cidre & Dragon festival (Normandy, France). Fenrir now works on a new album, based on Arthurian legends, and is looking for shows in all European countries.
