Figure 8
Punk • Boise, ID
In the fall of 2011, Scooter Abraham and Jake Thompson joined together to form Figure 8. The duo recorded their first few songs in Abraham's bedroom, developing and learning. In the fall of 2013 Thompson left the band to go to college. Around this time the single "Full Brazilian" had small commercial success, and was played on the radio in the Boise area. With Thompson's departure, Abraham added Andrew Honan to the group. After just a few weeks of practice, Figure 8 played a live set on the "Punk n' Pie' show, making their debut. In the winter of 2014 they travelled to Salt Lake City, and played to the SLC punks. The following year, they went in to the studio to record the album "Spaced Out." Despite local success, and decent record sales, Abraham was disappointed in the final product. Knowing that some changes needed to be made, Figure 8 added Logan Bardoff(Bass) and Tony Brafford(Guitar) to round out their current lineup. (Abraham, Honan, Brafford, Bardoff) Figure 8 got back into full swing and began playing clubs in Boise in 2015. Currently the band is in the studio, choosing to record their next LP by themselves. Figure 8's new album "What?" will be released in Spring 2016.
