Geoff Hilton, whilst being the lead vocals/front man in Gambler Country Duo, I also perform as a solo artist and I am available for booking. Because of the lockdown which has cancelled all my gigs for this year (2020) I am now taking bookings for 2021/2022 for the Duo and myself. My origins in music are in rock/pop and was in groups for 30 years before starting in country in 2011, teaming up with Pete Hamilton in May 2011 but still maintaining a solo career in the background. Pete decided that he wanted to go his own direction in 2016 and I recruited Andy Ash as my partner in Gambler Duo. Sadly Andy died in April the following year and the duo work was put on the back burner for quite a while until I was joined by Rod Hill. Unfortunately Rod was not able to travel to gigs so we parted and my Son Ian Mac took up the mantel later that year. As with all the others ventures, Geoff will travel anywhere to fulfil bookings and is proud to say that he has never in all the years of performing missed turning up for a gig. Although Geoff sings mainly country music the current running order covers line dance/partner dance music as well as a smattering of other styles of music included, which has proved to be entertaining for the audience on the night. There is gentle banter and Geoff occasionally gets on the dance floor with the audience whilst singing his songs. During this pandemic I have decided to record as many songs as I can. They are songs that I have sung in the last 40 years on various circuits in the UK. Being now 71 years old I am beginning to think that I cannot sing forever and I would like to have a record of some of the songs I have sung through my life.
