Gus Monsanto is a Brazilian hard rock singer that has performed on almost 20 albums since 1995. He has fronted world class bands Adagio (France), Revolution Renaissance (Finland) and Takara (USA). Back in his homeland after the split of RR in late 2010, he joined forces with Bebeto DarOZ (guitar hero of local fame) and started working on a new band that is reminiscent of the music he grew up with. GUNPOINT drinks straight from the source of 70's and 80's early metal: Rainbow, Thin Lizzy, Scorpions, Sabbath, Ozzy/Randy, Judas Priest UFO and others. The chemistry between Gus, Daroz and drummer Leo Pagani (Doogie White, Tribuzy), and Jayme Monsanto (Gus’ brother, wich was featured on the reality show Geléia do Rock) was evident, and led to the recording of the band’s debut EP, At Gunpoint.
