ILLEGAL
Rock • Detroit, MI
Lookin’ for some rockin’ entertainment? Look no further. From small to large shows, to the full spectacle that is KISS, we cover it all to give you the biggest bang for your buck. We play Classic, Modern, Dance, and Hard Rock covers as well as several of our own original songs. We are high energy and we pride ourselves on the professionalism and quality of everything we do. The Detroit band ILLEGAL was formed originally as a Hard Rock Trio in 1988 by guitarist Jeff Alex, bassist/singer Rick Baig, and drummer Lou Ryan. As the late 90’s approached times changed and the band changed to a 4 piece with a lead singer, along the way opening for such acts as Rainbow, Quiet Riot, Nazareth, Cheap Trick, Little Richard, Jackyl, and many more. The band has 4 releases since inception: 1992’s "In The Name of the Law", 1994's “The Opponent”, 1996’s "Sign Them Now", and the latest release from 2009, "Welcome to Detroit". In 1998, the member’s of ILLEGAL dressed up as KISS for a Halloween costume party, borrowing costumes from a functioning KISS Tribute Band. After being approached by fans wishing to hire this "ILLEGAL" KISS Tribute Band, WAR MACHINE was born. Taking their name from a popular KISS song, WAR MACHINE has performed steadily for the last 13 years across the USA and Canada. They were the featured band at multiple KISS Conventions, Music Expos, Indoor Arenas, Outdoor Festivals and Professional Sports Halftime Shows. Taking pride and mirroring the original KISS, the band has authentic costumes, period correct instruments, and all four members can sing and perform like KISS. The current line-up consists of founding members Jeff Alex and Lou Ryan, Tim Cerda on bass, and Brian Ford on vocals. The same 4 members make up both bands. Currently WAR MACHINE can be seen on an episode of the popular Travel Channel TV show MAN vs FOOD that was filmed on location in Detroit. Watch for it on your local cable network!
