Jack Devil is a band formed with one objective: to keep the flames of brazilian heavy metal alive. Fueled with heavy riffs, Jack Devil's songs are furious and loaded speed. The band was formed by Renato Igor and André Nadler, two band leaders from the state of Maranhão, who were active in the local underground metal scene. They played all over the state since 2003 and were looking for something different from their old bands, something more solid. They came up with the idea for the new band together, which was formed near the end of 2010. Still in the year of 2010 and with the original line-up, the band recorded its first EP as an experimental material, entitled Road to Hell, which contained six tracks and served as a first step towards the band's current sound. Soon after, Jack Devil managed to support bands such as U.D.O. and Violator. In the second half of 2011, the band had a line-up and a structural change, as the vocalist and the drummer left. Previously the sole guitarist, André also assumed the vocals and guitarist Ricardo Andrade joined the band along with drummer Filipe Stress. With Renato on bass guitar, they form the current line-up, stronger and more agressive than before. That's when the band started to develop their official material. With its second line-up, Jack Devil has released its second EP entitled "Under the Metal Command" in december of 2011, and now, in 2012, heads to the road to play on many shows, in and out of their city, with the goal of spreading and promoting their straight and energetic thrash metal to the biggest possible ammount of heavy metal fans. Jack Devil takes many characteristics from the NWOBHM (New Wave of British Heavy Metal) and from speed metal to try to stand out with their music. It is important to note that all the work involved in recording "Under the Metal Command" was made by the band members in a single day in the recording studio. As with the recording, mixing and equalizing duties were also performed by the band. Inspired by classic albums in the history of metal, such as Kill 'Em All (1983, Metallica), Killers (1981, Iron Maiden), Show no Mercy (1983, Slayer) and Bonded by Blood (1985, Exodus), Jack Devil presents a sonority close to that of the early thrash metal founded in the 80's. The band has also been influenced by its local predecessors, such as Ácido, Cremador, Ânsia de Vômito, Brutallian and others. Jack Devil currently works in promoting its thrash metal album entitled "Under The Satan Command" (2012).This album is a remix of the first demo that was remodeled and also received a new mastering.Destiling pure poison of 80's heavy metal there are five original tracks full of speed,agressiveness and a small demostration of what the band is capable of doing!
