Pop • Los Angeles, CA
jade jericho is a singer, songwriter & rapper. Originally from Jacksonville, Florida, jericho was raised by a family of Southern Baptist and Pentecostal Gospel Singers on the banks of the St. Mary's River. By the age of eight, she was leading her children's choir with solo performances; the first of which, 'This Little Light Of Mine' dressed as a firefly complete with wings and a glow stick taped to her ass.
jericho later formed a blues duo covering the likes of Lil Johnson, Sippie Wallace, Bessie Smith, Big Mama Thornton and Robert Johnson. A great lover of the blues, she often laced her appearances with mini blues history lessons. She followed this with the original funk fusion project, Six Shades of Red, gaining local popularity in Gainesville, FL until the band broke up due to interpersonal differences.
The jade jericho solo project took flight when she met collaborator and "partner in musical crime", st_robert, in grunge capitol, Olympia, WA, with whom she shares several upcoming single releases. She also has an upcoming release written for her by her makeup artist and friend, recording artist and YouTube sensation, Dustin Hunter. She has three studio albums and a new single, Supa Swinga (2015), for which she has released an official video to YouTube.
Jericho currently splits time between Los Angeles and Florida.
