In 2000 I completed my first album Spiritual People, written for my close friend Lyn. At the time I used local session musicians, Mac Mckinnon, Brian Lawton ,Frazer Jones, Toby Mills, Glen Fletcher, Craven Noble, Joquin Sierra, and Rap artist Aaron Timoti. It wasn't until 2004 I joined Bullfrog Rata's band ''The Interlopers" The line up...Bullfrog...Tony Faulkner(bass) and the late great Earl Pollard(Drums and percussion). It was indeed a privilege to belong to such an accomplished Blues band. Bullfrog is one of New Zealand's finest bluesman. In 2011 Ted Frickleton joined the band as our new drummer filling a huge void from the loss of our friend Earl, from there we continued working all over NZ and of course doing our favourite local gigs, meeting some amazing musicians and making new friends on the way. I also sing with local based Rock Band "CoverDrive" Mitchell Doyal, guitar, Rob Dring drums, John Loughnane bass. Love that old classic rock! Our latest project is with Blues/Rock Band "Bottle 2 Throttle". We have recently released our first original song "Drinks Courage" Bullfrog, Mitchell Doyle and Ross McDermott on Guitars, Ted Frickleton, Drums, and Tony Faulkner on Bass. This song is a little different from the rest! Our video will be out in July :) We all express ourselves differently...for me it is music. A quote from The late great singer Aretha Franklin....."Music does a lot of things for a lot of people. It's transporting, for sure.
