Julio Fowler was born in Santa Clara, Cuba. He studied music, acting and singing at the High Institute of Art in La Habana. Arrives in Spain at the invitation by the "Author Song Festival" as a result of its success, he decides to live in Madrid and develop their own musical project. Cuban artist Julio Fowler is one of the heirs of the “Old & New Cuban Song” (“Vieja y Nueva Trova Cubana”), their music is expanding and diversifying the horizon of classic Cuban sounds. He belongs to a new wave of Cuban singer song writer; his music is an original mixture of identity & vanguard, an assembly of his roots with all those musical trends compatible with it. He has a great ability for combining the popular & traditional elements of “Cuban Music” with sounds & rhythms from other cultures. Mr. Fowler has a particular form kind of showing his poetry musical uninhibited crossover from the guaguancó to bolero or bulería, and at the same time reveals your passion for jazz in a surprising mix of acoustic and electronic. In recent years Julio Fowler has spent most of his life on stages around the world, he has captivated lovers' of “Cuban World Music” in the Americas and Europe, Mr. Fowler receives the critics' acclaim. In 2011 his album Utopías won the most important Cuban Award from "CUBADISCO" as trova-fusión categories".
