Evans is somewhat of a prodigy on both stand up and electric bass and he studies under Dr. Natalie Boeyink of UNCW. He can play anything and has sung harmony since he could talk. He is one of the best backing musicians and vocalists in the business. The music of the Ogden Heart stems from their roots of classic gospel, folk, bluegrass, and americana. Their set list includes songs from the Great American Songbook as well as originals written by Kathryn and Isabel. Kathryn Caine had critical acclaim and national success with her cd’s Whiteville, Down Home Girl and When I Was His Wife. She has passed down her love for traditional singing and songwriting to Isabel and Evans by having them onstage with her since they were born. Isabel and Evans are consummate professionals and display both passion and skill in every performance. The exceptional talents of Isabel and Evans are at the driving force of this group.
