Patrick O-Shaun Young, "That KelticDead Guy," finds, arranges and plays tunes and songs from Celtic, Folk, Americana, and Sea Faring sources. He also creates Audio-Visual "Broadside" stories about these tunes and songs that help provide meaning in why these traditional, made-public, or made-public with credits tunes and songs may have been created in the first place. All of the music "projects" are performed with live, acoustic instruments and voices to encourage those who may want to play or sing along. Born in Texas in the '50s, I travelled extensively around the world in my engineering work, and as a hobby, I would find, collect, and play Celtic, Folk, Old-Timey, and Sea Faring tunes and songs using the six hole whistles and harmonicas that I carried around with me. In the 80's I moved back to Texas and got hooked up with the Southwest Celtic Music Association and with their newsletter, "The CEILI." I also created the WEB-based, "KelticDead Music" initiative to showcase audio-visual "KelticDead Music Video Broadsides" as a storytelling, music-education effort. I'm hoping to expand the KDM concept into a "Free" world-wide resource for those interested in folk music with not only the music selections, but also with the feature stories and the related KDM sheet music arrangements that I make for them. For that goal, I have joined in with the U.K. based, on-line, page turning publication, "Simply Folk Music Magazine," where I can not only showcase the sheet music and stories better, but also provide links to my KDM music projects and the my video Broadsides.
