Growing Up in the Southside of Chicago, Kemon James (KJames) remains focused on achieving the best in Academics as well as the Fine Arts. As a kid, K James loved to sing in his home church and at his school. His favorite artist include Ray Charles, Fred Hammond, Marvin Gaye, Curtis Mayfield just to name a few. He has sung in major choral ensembles across the Chicagoland area including All-City High School Choir from 2003 until 2006. Kemon continued to pursue his education as well as music endeavors attending Bowling Green State University. While there he not only participated in several talent shows, he was a radio personality on campus for 3 & 1/2 years with WFAL Radio. He is responsible for not only helping develop the Hip-Hop/Urban Genre for the radio station, he was a catalyst for changing the culture for BGSU radio as a whole with several on and off campus events musically geared to the college community. He now attends Chicago State University pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Marketing. He does this while maintaining a strong faith in church and social life he credits to his musical talents. KJames has been featured in several mixtapes including The Allegiance Mixtape Vol. 1 and Vol. 3 which is a compilation of some of the best local artist across the Midwest. K James plans to release a collaborative mixtape of alongside fellow Chicago artist BossFrank (https://soundcloud.com/BOSS_FRANK) entitled "A Sunday Walk in the Park". This EP is scheduled for a Summer 2014 release with the featured single LOOSE SQUARES...produced by BEATSBYJAKE.COM.
