Kold Creature

Kold Creature are a groove based, melodic metal band dedicated to making heads bang, with a distinctive style that carries heart and soul that the band has become well known for in their local scene. Kold Creature’s brand of experimental groove metal defies genres with clean guitar solos and vocals that give them “a melodic like vibe” while holding onto their “Pantera-like” aggression, as sited by Iron Mathew Collins of Metal Gods TV.

Kold Creature was founded in 2013 by frontman and guitarist Chris Ross, who wanted to expand his then solo ventures. Lyndon Bauer (guitar) soon joined the band, after blowing Ross away with his natural knack for guitar. Patrick Stevens (bass) and Alan Mahood (drums) rounded out the group shortly after.

Since its formation, Kold Creature have been delivering hard hitting live performances and building a sizable following. In addition to their own shows, the band was invited to play the Ye Gods of Metal Festival in 2015 and 2016, as well as Shredfest 2016, OutMoshYaMa Festival in 2017 and 2018, Metal United Down Under 2016,2017 and 2018 all of which featured the best of the best in Australian metal. Kold Creature also received high acclaim from the Queensland Music Awards for their album in 2017.

The band's live show is where they excel; delivering a high energy performance that is both captivating and authentic.

The single Edge Of Gravity was recorded at Pulpitation Studios and produced by Kold Creature. It was mixed and mastered by Chris Ross the lead singer and guitarist. The full length album A Weakened State has taken the same approach.

The album’s September 2016 release was followed by an Australian East Coast tour. The band hopes to expand their live shows both nationally and internationally in the near future.
