Born out of Chicago, IL, Lighten Up is a funky four-piece band that creates a sound stemming from their blues and jazz roots. Their powerful energy and eclectic mix of originals and classic covers makes for an overall enthusiastic performance. Lighten Up wants to bring good music and happiness to all you cats who are willin' to listen.
Lighten Up has been performing around the Chicagoland area since early 2012 at venues such as, Uncommon Ground, The Underground Wonder Bar, The Tonic Room, The Alley, The Elbo Room, and many more. Keep your eyes and ears open for upcoming shows!
