In December of 2011 Little Johnny was Nominated for the 2011 Chicago BMA Awards as Male Blues Artist of the Year. The nominee's include Lonnie Brooks, Billy Branch. Otis Clay, Lindsey Alexander and Wayne Baker Brooks. His band was also nominated for Blues Band of the year. Johnny did not win but considers himself a winner to be considered with such great Artists, Little Johnny is a Regional Band that can travel up to 500 miles very easily, longer distances with a little more advanced notice. The band led by John Moore aka Little Johnny and has been playing the Chicago Blues Scene since 1999. He has played with, opened for, been a sideman to some of the Best in the Business. His band is not shy playing 200+ a year for the last 10 years. His current line up is a 3 piece Power Trio. Johnny's style is straight out of Chicago quit simply "Chicago Style Blues". Johnny's heartfelt vocals, Dynamic Harmonica and Slide Guitar that would make Muddy Waters smile. His band can be as Blue as Blues can be while mixing Originals from Johnny's 2 CD releases. Throw in some choice classic rock covers done "Little Johnny Style" a little funk and Motown. Keyboard Richie Mahoney was asked while on tour is Southern Illinois by a local patron what kind of music do you play. Richie replied "We play Little Johnny Music". Don't be fooled by a 3 piece band. This band can deliver. We have a host of keys, sax, horns that perform with us at larger venues and festivals.
