Local Dudes was formed in the spring of 2011 by Neon Nights members Lou Molitch (vocals and guitar), Jeff Borgueta (drums) and Matt Richardson (bass). After 5 years of playing together as Neon Nights the band's chemistry was already firmly in place. Keyboardist Mike Day was added to the lineup and the band began developing their roots oriented rock and roll sound. The Local Dudes' sound is a mix of American blue collar bar rock and 60's R&B with a healthy dose of blues guitar and organ solos. The songs are straight forward with big hooks and personal lyrics about romance and the working life. Local Dudes played their debut show in August 2011 opening for roots rock legends The Blasters. In May 2012, guitarist John Krupa was added the lineup. Local Dudes will release their first full length album, "Better Place" in September 2012.
