Hey everyone it's Grub and this is my new band Loose Engines. The inspiration for this band are the Honky Tonks, BBQ's, backyard parties I've had the pleasure of going to and playing as a part of my father's Country band in the 70's and my years spent on the Austin music scene. I put this band together specifically so that I could play danceable music that is family friendly and built for the wonderful wineries, breweries and other venues in Northern California. We play a mix of original music, Classic Country, Blues, Tex-Mex and other types of music that are going to make people get up and dance and enjoy their time. We do play some covers and though they may occasionally veer off the beaten path (as in- we don't do your standard New Country/Mustang Sally/Brown Eyed Girl fare) the songs are specifically chosen to get people moving. As a business, we want to build relationships with other business owners to insure that their patrons will enjoy the environment of your business and want to return. I know we don't have a lot of music up on this site yet, we are still working on a demo and other things but our musical pedigrees are stellar. The band includes members of The Amazing Sweethearts (well, me), Magnolia Thunderfinger, Las Pesadillas, Toad Mortons and more. Along with booking the aforementioned wineries and breweries, we are looking to play happy hour, Saturday or Sunday afternoon shows in bars, clubs, restaurants and just about anywhere people like to get together and have a good time.
