Checkout our new website www.lownlonesome.com "Low 'n Lonesome leans into their cool arrangements with such genuine passion that it creates a great feel in the whole room. And because they have deep knowledge of their genre and a sparky sense of humor, it's just as much fun to hear them set the songs up as it is to play them." Sarah Craig, Caffe Lena Low ‘n Lonesome recently released a fine collection of originals and old school Blues & Ragtime, and it is already getting raves from great players and Folk Music DJs. CD Reviews: "These boys sure can pick! What an enjoyable CD." -Stefan Grossman "It's a beauty! Thanks for sending it... I am really impressed with this CD!" -Wanda Fischer, Host of "Hudson River Sampler' on WAMC.org "Great finger picking, great selection of songs, and good humor to tie it all together." -Sonny Ochs, sister of Phil Ochs and Host of "Folk Music & Other Stuff" on WIOXradio.org Rob Adkins and Phil Drum are two fine Fingerstyle /Acoustic Blues guitar players and songwriters from Saratoga Springs, NY. As Low ‘N Lonesome, they join forces and blend their talents to produce some of the finest old time Blues & Ragtime to be heard anywhere. They perform top-notch originals, as well as Blues-based versions of tunes from old school jazz, rock, folk, and country music, covering great artists from from Robert Johnson and Louis Armstrong to Hank Williams and Bob Dylan. Rob Adkins hails from Louisiana, and plays a mix of  blues, roots and originals based on a lifelong interest in and pursuit of several genres. He has recorded, wrote, and performed extensively in North Carolina, Florida, and New York. He actually got his first stage experience at an amateur night at Cafe Lena's after having auditioned for Lena Spencer herself, a memory he treasures to this day.  Phil Drum is an eclectic musician whose attention always comes back to the Blues. As co-founder and leader of the Saratoga Acoustic Blues Society, Phil has organized and performed in several shows featuring Acoustic Blues music, as well as concerts featuring such notable performers as Paul Geremia (2009). Phil has performed at venues throughout the Capital District, most notably Caffe Lena and the Dance Flurry, as well as shows featuring his Blues-Rock band, The Resonators. He in 2010 produced Old Blues, a highly praised CD of originals and old school Acoustic Blues, the title tune of which was featured in the online Nashville Review.
