About Me: Guitarist. I've been playing professionally for over 35 years. Discovering fingerstyle acoustic guitar since 2004. I love music, vintage guitars, college football, art and NBA basketball. I am a PGA Golf Professional by day. During my career as a musician, I have been fortunate to have played with some great players. Starting as a teenager, I played six nights a week for several years before getting a day job. Some of my career highlights are; Opening shows for Joe Bonamassa and John Sebastian, playing with Vince Gill's band, playing with Peter Noone as a "Hermit" and playing shows with virtuoso guitarist Edgar Cruz. I have done a considerable amount of studio work and played as a side man with a few national acts over the years. Influences: Early- Clapton, Beck, Page, Hendrix, Larry Carlton, Freddie King, Santana, Duane Allman, Dickey Betts, Chuck Berry, Albert Lee, Ronnie Montrose, Johnny Winter, Albert King, B. B. King, Leo Kottke, George Benson, Doc Watson, Billy Gibbons, Frank Zappa, Ry Cooder, George Harrison, Leslie West, Joe Walsh, Albert Collins, Dave Mason, Roy Buchanan, Mark Knopfler, Charlie Christian, Steven Stills, Stevie Ray etc. Lately- Tommy Emmanuel, Chet Atkins, Troubleclef, Pat Kirtley, Merle Travis etc. Sounds Like: Electric- Sounds like me with a hint of all of the licks I've stolen from my guitar heroes. Acoustic- I sound like me. However, you can hear the influence of Steven Stills, Tommy Emmanuel, Eric Clapton, Duane Allman and others in my playing.
