I am an established Producer, Mix and Mastering engineer living in Monument, Colorado. Life is great out here and I get to work with artists and material from all over the world which is always exciting. I mix in a hybrid setup using analog and digital tools, including now mixing in Dolby Atmos. Background: My passion for music and studio work began at the age of 14, when I first recorded with Chris Keffer of Magnetic North Studios in Cleveland. This experience ignited my interest in recording, and I consider Chris to be one of my mentors in the industry, along with other colleagues whom I hold in high regard. After living in Washington DC from 2000 to 2007, I moved to Denver for a job opportunity, where I worked as a mixer while running my own small home studio, TBR Studio – The Basement Recording Studio. In 2007, my career took me to Monument, Colorado, where I established my private home studio, Monument Sound. Situated at an elevation of 7400 feet next to the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, the studio provides a tranquil environment and inspiring views for artists. Work: Throughout my career, I have worked with a diverse range of musical genres, but I particularly enjoy working on rock, pop, and country music. While I mainly focus on mixing and mastering these days, I also take on the occasional project as a producer and engineer. In addition, I take pleasure in collaborating with independent film producers in the area on post-audio projects. Passion: Working with artists to create the best possible product is my driving force. While this goal may seem typical, my commitment to experimentation and exploration is what sets me apart. As someone who strives for perfection and enjoys trying out new techniques, I believe that the role of the producer/mixer is to represent the sound of the artist accurately while infusing a unique quality that leaves the listener wanting more, especially in a crowded music landscape where there is a lot of similarity.
