Byron Colborn

Baritone Saxophonist

Byron Colborn (b. 5/27/1981, Santa Rosa, CA) is a baritone saxophonist rooted in the jazz tradition. He is graduate of Berklee College of Music in Boston, Mass. Byron is former student of renowned saxophonists Mel Martin and George Garzone. He is active on the Sacramento music scene as both a performer and teacher. Byron is the bandleader of the Element Brass Band as well as leading his own quartet. In addition to the bands that he leads, Byron can be heard regularly with Anthony Coleman, the Kyle Rowland Blues Band, Peter Petty, the Harley White Jr. Orchestra, Simplistic Big Band, Sankofa, and the Adrian Meza Big Band.
