Marty Cohen, bass, has performed with a number of Bay Area bands across a range of styles, including R&B, rock, blues, swing, pop, & bluegrass. Marty is an accomplished sideman with credits for backing up such notables as Jerry Miller, Rose Maddox, and "Kinky Freidman and the Texas Jewboys". Bands include Totem Park, Jamnesia2, The Blues Disaster, Feral Moon, Brown Suga Reggae, and SF Bay Area based Groovy Judy,. He has also performed in various bands (separately) with harp greats Will Scarlett, and Little John Chrisley as well as members from the Elvin Bishop, Neil Young, Moby Grape, Hot Tuna, Gatemouth Brown, Ry Cooder bands, and The Call.
