Overlain is a music band based in Bordeaux and formed by Francesco (Italy) and Hervé (France). It all started when they met in 2009 in Barcelona. They gave their first public performance in Apolo as part of the ALHT festival as their first formation known as « La Madre » but were going to restructure the whole project under their actual name « Overlain ». Their first album « Le mal » was released in June 2011. Thanks to their friendship with video artists and directors Garbi KW and Carlos Marín, seven videos were launched as a visual support of the seven singles from their first studio work. All of those pieces faithfully translate the minimalism and the darkness of their first album’s sound. Those songs started to be played in local radios and the band took part in two major events « Estrelladas » at the Antic Theatre and another show at « Razzmatazz » both are famous venues in Barcelona. As a natural process, Overlain released their second album titled « Moving too fast » on July 9th 2012. It clearly claims a new sound, a completely different view on music and more generally on life itself. Brightness and optimism definitely leave the darkness tone behind and make space to keyboards and acid beat box, altogether with a British touch. Now based in Southwestern France, they're editing their forthcoming video and future contents. Overlain's edited an EP in September 2014 tittled "Fidèles à l'intemporel". And a real new album "Estado global" will be released in 2018 and produced by José Morata.
