Paul Brewster
Country • Nashville, TN
For the last 18 years, Paul has been the tenor singer and rhythm guitarist alongside GRAMMY-Award Winner Ricky Skaggs, as a member of the 8-Time IBMA Instrumental Group of the Year, Kentucky Thunder. One of Nashville’s most respected artists, Paul Brewster emerges on the country scene with his second solo record, “3-Minute Heartache.” Featuring 10 original tracks full of heartache, rock-n-roll and pedal steel, “3-Minute Heartache,” was released September 10th on Cardboard Records and is an exciting departure from his first, grassier, solo record, “Everybody’s Talkin.’” Paul is known primarily for his soaring vocals and rhythm guitar alongside Ricky Skaggs, but his songwriting shines as much as his voice on this album. Fans of Vince Gill, Marty Raybon, and Randy Travis will enjoy the traditional-country sound and deep bluegrass roots of “3-Minute Heartache,” which features Nashville’s A-List Players (Brent Mason, Andy Leftwich, Mike Johnson, Ilya Tashinski, Michael Rojas, Michael Rhodes, Eddie Bayers, Kenny Malone, and Jimmy Capps) and a guest appearance by Sonya Isaacs (“I Just Want to Touch You,” and “On My Knees.”) ”Most times when Paul sings (Kentucky Waltz), people throw babies in the air; they’re so excited,” jokes Skaggs in a recent Paul Brewster Bluegrass Unlimited interview. Originally from Knoxville, Paul enjoyed brief stints with The Knoxville Grass, The Pinnacle Boys and then ten years with The Osborne Brothers before joining forces with Skaggs. Paul will continue with Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder, with 2014 & 2015 dates already booked, but in the meantime, “3-Minute Heartache” represents “songs on the inside that had to get out.” Visit www.paulbrewstermusic.com for tracks and all of the latest updates.
