Premodera
Experimental • Waco, TX
Premodera (derived Pre-Mod-Era meaning PREpare for the MODern ERA) is an urban Texas group that boasts it's belief in limit-less music expansion. The band records songs ranging from experimental, classical and goth to trip-hop, tragic pop and hip-hop. Its creators, URBOYNED (Tex Sen/Mak Mod/Senator) and M.T.3, have formed a nucleus of highly creative contributors who have helped to lay the groundwork for a truly different type of sound. Being an avid supporter of "the science of tones", Premodera tries to grab its listeners and allow them to run wild in the structural scenery that is their sound. The group was formed September 9, 2009 and have released periodically free online singles through various music mediums (reverbnation.com, soundclick.com, mymusicstream.com and soundcloud.com) to provide a chance for listeners to check out their intriguing sound. They can also be found on social networks YouTube, Google and Facebook. In 2011, they were banned from posting material on Facebook due to a track called "Big Patty", which was your typical "girl likes boy, girl leaves boy for other girl - other girl leaves girl for boy, so girl kills boy and other girl" love-story. The issue was later resolved and now "Big Patty" is available online FREE. Their first cd, How 2 Do That! is a compilation of the tracks that were released free to fans online plus two bonus tracks. They are currently in the studio working new material, with 2 remixes of the title track 'How 2 Do That' available at reverbnation.com. PREMODERA looks to redefine music in every aspect available. This "thinker's" group feels that the music industry should be reinvented to be on par with the video/film industry in regards to profitability and creativity. Gritty and dense lyrics are the core structure to rebuild upon. "How can we make music better overall, so that it's audience will feel the need to purchase good songs that pertain to itself, an idea, structure or values."
