A composer & lyricist, René has fronted original progressive pop bands dating back to the 1980's and 90's. He's performed many of the historic stages in San Francisco, as well as other cities in the United States. René has shared the stage with Jorge and Carlos Santana, and has performed the National Anthem at Oakland Coliseum Stadium (Oakland, California).
René's bari-tenor vocal style harkens back to the days of crooners, such as Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley, but also to more contemporary names like David Bowie, yet his Spanish heritage brings out the core gypsy that inspires his overall performance and energy.
His latest offering brings him back full-circle to what he emotes doing best: singing original material — back to his composing roots.
