A few lines about the album... - “Filias y Fobias”
Samuel Leví shows us his “Filias y Fobias” in his new album, recorded in the prestigious Forward Studios in Rome (Italy), where renowned italian voices such as Andrea Bocelli, Lucio Dalla, Francesco di Gregori, or Humberto Gattica have recorded there as well. Produced by Danilo Pao (Nelly Furtado) and Stefano Quarta, this work has received the MAEC-AECID award from the Real Academia de España en Roma (only musician selected for the 2014/15 course), where he has been preparing what will be his 3rd studio album.
This young Galician singer-songwriter is accompanied, once again, by his band Los Niños Perdidos, a selection of professional musicians from the most respected Schools of Music and Conservatories from Spain (Conservatorio del Liceu and Taller de Música de Barcelona, Ateneo Jazz and Escuela de Música Creativa de Madrid), as well as from foreign countries (Escuela Nacional de Arte de La Habana in Cuba, Escuela de Música de Buenos Aires in Argentina, Escola Superior de Música de Porto y Lisboa in Portugal).
Madrid, La Habana, Buenos Aires, Roma, and his dear city Vigo are just a few of the cities where this singer-songwriter has lived through out his entire career. With more than 400 concerts in his curriculum, which are reflected in his latest album, the most passionate and accurate so far, Samuel captivates us with thirty minutes of pure pop-rock from the west coast.
Segundo Grandío (former Siniestro Total) collaborates in this album with his music production company Casa de Tolos, with the recording of a documentary film which gathers the experience in the eternal city of Rome of Leví and Los Niños Perdidos. A true reflection of his art and the intensity with which he lives music. A fervor which led him to receive the award INJUVE as best new songwriter in 2009.
In his new work, we can find two bonus tracks which emphasize the cosmopolitan nature of the album; the first one is entirely recorded in Galician, while the other one is in collaboration with the Italian singer Erika Savastani from the band Deserto Rosso. Both of these songs reinforce the clear purpose of the artist to expand his art wherever he may go. To end on a high note, the album counts with the special collaboration of Luis Eduardo Aute, one of the top iconic figures of Spanish singer-songwriters.
His songs sparkle as flares in the dark. Enjoy his philias and phobias.
