Over the years, having blended classic rock, Americana, and singer-songwriter with a prior jamband background (band=Muddy Gumbo), Baker forges ahead in his songwriting artistry with his first concept album, Purpose. With his music journalism background, social worker foreground, and over 20 years of playing all over the state of Michigan, Baker—from Bay City—is never too far from his roots and poignant outlook as a songwriter. Purpose tells the story from various viewpoints in life when one questions themselves in an inward search for clarity.
