Secret Weapons

Hailing from New York City, Secret Weapons managed to combine the dark and youthful themes of hope, struggle, and yearning with gripping synth and guitar driven rock music. The two-piece met in high school and the first incarnation of the band began by writing in a studio apartment by day and throwing parties in Brooklyn by night -- most of which quickly descended into chaos. Influenced by a range of styles, from Queen, Steve Winwood, and the Killers to the soundscapes of Depeche Mode and Daft Punk, they soon began to apply their pop and gospel-influenced hooks to the wall-of-sound backdrops they created.

In late 2015 their debut single “Something New” sky-rocketed to the top of Spotify’s Global Viral Charts. The duo’s energetic live performances endeared them to crowds while their music began to sweep across the blogosphere. As their popularity continued to rise in 2016 they released their first self-titled EP and went on to perform alongside Weezer, Fall Out Boy, Panic! at the Disco and Lukas Graham before appearing at Lollapalooza and several other major U.S festivals.
